A happy, safe daycare starts with a few simple rules. From drop-off to pick-up, playtime to treats, we follow clear guidelines so every pup can enjoy their day safely, comfortably, and tail-waggingly well.
We Celebrate Birthdays
We love celebrating birthdays at The Dog Lounge. Your fur child is welcome to bring a special treat like a cake or biscuits. Details can be arranged with management.
Our Calendar
The Dog Lounge is open year-round, excluding public holidays. We close annually from December to January, with closure dates announced toward the end of the third quarter.
Smooth Drop-Offs
For your pup’s safety, please do not leave dogs outside the facility. All pups must be personally handed over to a staff member. Kindly do not open the gate or enter unless instructed by our team.
Nap Times
09:30 – 10:30
12:15 – 13:30
15:00 – 16:00
We kindly ask that pups are dropped off or collected outside of these times to avoid disturbing their napping friends.
Everyday Essentials
Please ensure your dog comes with lunch in a labeled container and their bag handed to staff, and a collar or harness and lead, which must be labeled too.
Unwelcome Guests
All dogs must be de-flea’d monthly unless using Bravecto or a similar long-lasting treatment.
Please also deworm your pup every 2 months to keep them happy and healthy.

We love capturing happy moments of our pups at play and may share these photos on our social media pages.
Early Birds & Pick-Up Times
Our weekday hours are 06:30 – 18:00 (Monday to Friday). Early drop-offs can be arranged with management for an additional R50 fee, payable on the day.
Punctual Pups
The Dog Lounge closes promptly at 18:00. Late pickups will incur a R150 per 15 minutes fee unless prior arrangements are made. After three late pickups, we will need to discuss an alternative arrangement.
Pups should arrive before 08:30 unless previously arranged with management, as late arrivals disrupt the smooth running of the day. Please help us by ensuring your pup arrives on time.
Sick Days
Please notify the school by 09:00 if your pup will be off sick (no credit will be given).
Cancellations
If you are booked for a specific day or month and cannot attend, please provide prior notice. An alternative date may be allocated if space is available.
Important: No refunds or credits are given for missed days, as your booking holds a spot for your pup. One month’s notice is required if you wish to withdraw from daycare.
